Hey guys, after 3 covid tests and two weeks of quarentine. This is my final night. I just wanted to share a little bit about my experience, I stayed at the Eleven hotel on sukhumvit 11. The price was 43k baht, so for been in the average price range. I would recommend the hotel, spacious sized room. Comfy bed, smart tv. Free water and soft drinks. Plenty of bathroom essentials free of charge also. The downside is that the rooms here are without balconys. All though i dont think a balcony is needed to look over sukhumvit 11(its not a beach). The staff are on hand 24 hours. They tried the best for what they have to work with. They were very friendly and always on hand. We had some issue with the food been cold. But this was sorted after a chat. They also offered to give me a microwave, The nursing team are brilliant. I give them full credit for the procedures they are following each day, they are incredibly safe and will not cut any corners. I got a lovely farewell meal for dinner tonight too. Photo attached☺

Any questions. Feel free to ask as ive probably missed loads out!! Thanks

I also stayed on Soi 11 at the Holiday Inn Express. 42,000thb. Almost the same review as Abid. Room and bathrooms were nice. Really comfortable bed and pillows (a must for me) good tv, no balcony but nice relaxing area on the roof to go to each day after first test. The staff was awesome, always at my beckon call and bent over backwards to accommodate. They all made the stay much more bearable. I would recommend it!

I didnt come on the stv. I came on the exemption. I wasnt asked for proof of accom. Proof of return flight or a proof of funds. Immigration was the smoothest i have ever experienced
Adrià ********
With the STV, you need to make the booking of all 90 days hotels?
Eric *******
So u got the STV? How many months can u stay on that visa and how many months did u have to book at a condo after your quarantine?
John *******
Cold food is quite common ...i believe for most of the hotels around that price range ...we had the same issue , but they did their best
Lance *********
So you paid ฿43k and think the water and soft drinks were free? Very good.

Cool i just finished quarantine in Singapore, i have also done in Thailand and i found Thailand way better organised than Singapore in all aspects.
George *******
Been to that Sukhumvit 11 hotel in 2019, for couple of weeks. Charged me 1000 baht a day. Nice clean hotel, great location. Plenty of cafes and street food outside. Best time in my life...(not because of the hotel only, of course)
George *******
I know whay you mean but I asked them to clean it really thoroughly afterwards.😄😄😄

nice to hear. Youd expect better from singapore. They have totally breezed it here i must admit, Thailand should be proud of the way they have done all of this.
Michael ********
@Tom **********
Yes i agree and all those numpties saying quarantine is stupid blah blah. Thailand is doing itself proud for the way it is handling this and hats off to them. Enjoy yourself

impressive logistics and efficiency from arrival at the airport and through the quaranteen. If they'd only implement something similar regarding their vaccination program...once they get some vaccin that is.

Great to hear somebody happy and not grumpy as many who paid cheap Charly price and wanted the moon, welcome back to the land of smiles :)

@Pascal *******
there are things i could of moaned about. But chose not too as you need to consider this is there first times running a quarentine hotel. And for paying a not low but not high price i do not expect to be served 3 meals per day on golden plates. You need to consider the hospital costs. Along with all the essentials and food, its not a cheap package on there side
Pascal ********
1,666 Baht per day room and 3 meals when you pay 25,000 no average good hotel do it
Pascal ********
@Tom **********
Great but I read comments from people who paid 25,000 and complain a lot, I can imagine paying 25,000 for 15 day , room and 3 meals a day what do they expected ;)
Mike *******
@Pascal *******
backpackers!!! 😜 😜 😜 😜
Pascal ********
@Mike ******
No backpacker, only the usual grumpy guys who complains about everything, Imagine them 15 days in a 18 sqm room with rice and dry fish ha ha
Mike *******
@Pascal *******
could make for a good TV show, Ting Tong Angry Farang
Pascal ********
@Mike ******
Yes coming soon on channel 5 ;)
Tom ***********

@Pascal *******
yeah fair play. You cant complain about much when your paying 25k i imagine all the fees that the hotel must pay per guest is around 15k-18k
Michael ********
@Tom **********
minimum 12 goes to hospital fees and testing.
Pascal ********
@Tom **********
it is always cheap Charly people who want the moon for the price of a cloud :)
Johan *******
Did you have somewhere to sit, accept for the bed?
