Earliest date to apply for DTV visa?

Hey everyone,

Does anyone know what the earliest date is that you can apply for a DTV visa? I’ve been trying to find a clear answer online but there doesn’t seem to be any concrete information anywhere.

It seems like the tourist visa can be applied for up to 3 months before your intended arrival, but I’m not sure if the same rule applies to the DTV visa.

Has anyone here already applied or been approved who can confirm?

You can apply (get) in Oct, 2025 with an expiry of Oct 2030 and travel first time in Sept, 2030 (whenever you wish). It's not like UAE 5-year visa that must be used in 60 days after approval.

Depends on the embassy or consulate you use. Some ask that it’s within 3 months of travel, but once issued you can use it at anytime thereafter.

You could wait 5 years to use it - although that would be a bit pointless

Same - 3 months. It is valid from date of issue and not date of entry like the TR though.

It is five years from the date of issue. If you don't use it by then it becomes invalid.
