The discussion revolves around the application for a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) from Hong Kong. Key points include the necessity of legal residency in Hong Kong, as well as the conditions under which individuals with right of abode can apply for this visa at the Hong Kong consulate. It is suggested that applicants should be aware of the processing times associated with the DTV application, which can take up to 10-15 business days.

Are you Hong Kong-ese?
Do you live/work legally in Hong Kong?
If those answers are no, and you're just going to be a tourist there, I'd say pick another consulate to apply for your DTV..
then if you meet the requirements you should have no issue applying there
pay attention to their posted processing time,, they can take as long as they say (which for DTV can be 10-15 business days <- so 3 weeks regular time ;) )
