I saw a lot of posts with contradictory information regarding the validity of the 72 hours Covid test required to enter Thailand and I checked with my airline, Etihad. As I change over in Abu Dhabi, I was informed that the hours count from the sample taken and needs to be within 72 of the whole flight/flights. Even the second one of your change over. Now I also wonder if We need to literally arrive in Bangkok too within 72 hours from the sample or as long as u are boarding it will be okay. Anyone flew with Etihad can share with me their experience ? And clinics where I can get the results in time please ? Thank you 🙏🏼

Thai Air flies from Heathrow at 9.30pm on Sunday so your Covid test should be done on Friday. You need to find a laboratory that does 48 hour turnarounds (not guaranteed though) together with a fit2fly cert and they usually cost £250 up. Some airlines will accept a swab test taken at home and posted to the laboratory where it is dated at the time of arrival at the laboratory and some doctors will issue a f2f cert based on a video interview, the two together can cost about £220.
The Mayfield Clinic in Oxford charges £285 for a doctors appointment for a travel document together with a swab test - I think it also has clinics in London and Banbury.

Olive Health and Travel are in Gants Hill, East London. Guaranteed turnaround but you'll pay between £200 - 250 depending on how fast you want result. The 72 hours is from time of the result to departure. But if you have a connecting flight other regulations may apply eg: Emirates via Dubai- 72 hours from result to departure for Thai requirements but UAE requirement is the test itself must be within 96 hours of departure.

the clinic I went to for the test was at 23A Seven Ways Parade, Woodford Avenue- it's right next to Gant's Hill underground. But yes, I think there is a Head Office address or something else listed somewhere. Kati *********
