Another pedantic question re dates....

Re Non O retirement 12 month extension...

what is the actual date your 800k must be in your bank from the last extension - Is it the date you applied or the date of last extensions expiry stamped date?
Answer summary
When applying for the Non O retirement visa extension, the 800,000 Baht must be in your bank account for at least 2 months prior to your application. After the extension is granted, you must maintain the 800,000 Baht for 3 months and not allow the balance to drop below 400,000 Baht for the rest of the year. The counting for the 3 months begins from the date your extension is granted.

the rule is spelled out like this..

You need to have 800K in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply for the extension.

The 800K has to stay in the account for 3 months after the extension is granted

Then the balance can't go below 400K the rest of the year.

As far as the 3 months after being from the date the extension is granted (the date you apply) OR they start counting that 3 months from the date the new extension starts (the date the old one expires)

Personally I wouldn't drop the balance below 800K until 3 months after the new extension takes effect <- there can't be more than 45 days max between the date you apply for the extension and the date it takes effect because that's the soonest you can apply for an extension.

This is the english of the seasoning rules and it seems to say it's 3 months after the extension is granted <- meaning 3 months from the date you apply (because they ink in retirement extensions when you apply for them)

Cheers for that ...

another question if I may, please...

when applying for my next 12 month extension do immigration endeavour to verify that there was 800k in my bank account for the first 3 months after my last extension application?

they do indeed which is why they ask for a year detail transaction report <- to check to see if you kept the funds in the account for 3 month AFTER you got the last extension
