For those keeping track. Just returned via suvarnhabumi from USA this morning on OA from Los Angeles issued prior to 31/10 (27/10) Again, asked consulate about insurance, said "not worry not 31".
I/O asked if I had, I politely stated, was prior to 31st however (this is the truth) went to L.A. to get O.A. so I could get health insurance (could not on ED visa), showed him my quotes which I had handy, he took some pictures of them and my visa, said "thank you" and stamped me in for 1year.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the return of a traveler to Thailand via Suvarnabhumi Airport on an OA visa issued prior to October 31. The traveler inquired about health insurance requirements at the consulate, who reassured that it was not necessary until the deadline. Upon arrival, the immigration officer took a look at the health insurance quotes and allowed entry with a one-year stamp.
