For American OA Visa applicants. How long has approval been taking lately? The US Thai Embassy site says to allow 15 business days but I'm wondering if they're processing faster. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The approval time for American OA Visa applicants can vary by consulate, with the Thai Embassy suggesting a standard of 15 business days for processing. However, some applicants have reported faster turnaround times, such as receiving approval in as little as 10 calendar days, even with some document resubmission delays. It's important to account for weekends and observe that the processing is counted in business days. Additionally, there are considerations regarding health insurance and the possibility of applying for an O visa instead to avoid costs associated with the OA visa.

10 calendar days including Thanksgiving weekend another weekend and me having to resubmit one document that was not right.

Thailand always makes reference to the conservative side of things. It could be faster, but if it goes past 15 business days something is wrong, and be aware they always go by business days, not 15 days total

you should get O instead of OA: after entry: saves you costly health insurance each year afterwards for visa renewal, pre existing health condition excluded protection after all, also minimum insurance protection just raised from
