Hello,

I'm about to apply for my Thailand Pass. I am flying from the UK to Bangkok but I have a stopover in the Netherlands so I'm just wondering whether I put the UK or the Netherlands as my departure country? I'm assuming I would put the flight number for the second leg of the journey from Netherlands to BKK and not the first flight from UK to Netherlands. Please let me know what has worked for you :)

Many Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for your Thailand Pass, you can list either the UK or the Netherlands as your departure country, but it is generally recommended to list the UK if that is where your travel originates. Many users have shared their experiences, noting that indicating the correct flight number for the leg entering Bangkok is essential. It's also important to declare any stopovers during the application, especially if your layover in the Netherlands exceeds 72 hours, as a new PCR test may be required.

Fortunately it’s just a few hours!

In the thai pass they ask you for countries you visited before. I don't know if they could find out that you had a stop over. But you must do a new pcr test in nederland, if you stay longer than the 72 hours.

Same here, i'm flying Luxembourg - Netherlands - Bangkok and i've put Luxembourg as departure country, they will ask if you visited another country before including Transfer, so you can put the Netherlands in there.

@Adrian *******
You only transit in Netherlands, not enter actual country outside airport.

I travelled this week to Thailand with KLM from UK, only required country of origin for departure for me UK.

It’s not a big deal either one…because they are both correct. I always put departure country but also let my taxi or hotel know the arriving.

If it’s just a few hours stop over, I’d always put from the Uk.
