Hello everyone,

I am Sofia and myanmar citizen trying to get a work permit to find a job in Chiang Mai next month. I could easily get my passport done in Yangon in one week but I couldn't get the work permit since I don't have an offer letter from a employer. So I am going to Chiang Mai with visit visa which lasts 14 days. If I could apply for a job and get an offer letter from my boss, can i just go to the immigration office of Chiang Mai and request the work permit or do i still need to come back to Yangon and request one. Any leads will be appreciated. And wish for me please! Thank you all

TLDR : Answer Summary
Sofia, a Myanmar citizen, is seeking advice on obtaining a work permit while in Chiang Mai on a 14-day visit visa. She is unsure if she can apply for the work permit after receiving a job offer or if she needs to return to Myanmar to apply for a Non-B visa first, as the comments indicate that she must return to her country for the Non-B visa before proceeding with the work permit application.

You may have to go back to your country to get first non-B.

Burmese get 14days on bilateral agreement, not visa on arrival nor visa exempt entry. You don't have enough days left on your entry stamp to get it processed inside thailand in any way

On 15 days on arrival visa you can not apply for WP

You need to go back to ur country for non immigrant B visa after that u can apply for WP

Ask your boss to go to immigration and ask for the non b visa check list. Get all the documents and then apply for non b visa. The non b visa will for 3 months. Try to get your work permit in the first month and then your 3 months visa will be extended to the next 9 months or more. Most important thing is the wp3 letter which your boss has to get from the employment office in Chaing Mai.

Get yours docs and go back to your country to apply for your non b.

As you are inside Thailand on the 15 days Visa on Arrival, you have to go back to your country to apply for the Non Immigrant B visa
