Iβm a Canadian with an American husband. Weβre planning a 2 month stay in Thailand followed by 3 weeks in Vietnam then a return to Thailand for 3 weeks. I think as of Oct 1 we get 45 days on arrival then can easily get a 30 day extension. Is this accurate? Or are we better to get a 60 day visa in North America before leaving for Thailand? Thanks in advance for your advice.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, a Canadian with an American husband, is planning a two-month stay in Thailand followed by three weeks in Vietnam, then returning to Thailand for another three weeks. They mention a belief that as of October 1, they can obtain a 45-day visa on arrival, which can be extended for an additional 30 days. The comments confirm this information, advising that the extension costs 1900 baht and suggesting the need for a flexible return flight ticket due to airline requirements.
Visa exemption 45 days and entend 30 days. 1900 bahts and photo. The 30 days are added to the first 45 days, so you can go to immigration after 15 days in Thailand. Keep in mind, that some Airlines want to see you flightticket out of Thailand within 45 days. Maybe take Γ modifiable reurnticket and change it when arrived in Thailand.
just come in on the free entry stamp on arrival which if you enter after Oct 1st is 45 days, and which you can extend for 30 more days at the immigration office. Then leave and come back and get another free entry stamp
