What's best browser to use to do 90 day on line
Answer summary
The best browser for completing the 90-day online report in Thailand seems to be Google Chrome according to several users, with other suggestions including Microsoft Edge and Firefox. While many browsers can work, some users have encountered issues with certain browsers like Safari. A few comments also highlight that browser compatibility has improved over the years, indicating that while some browsers may work better for this specific task, most popular choices should suffice.

Yup, websites are tested and optimized for specific browsers sometimes. And usually the developer may choose to pick what they think are the ones with the most “market share”.

I have to admit I thought it was a stupid question at first , I did not realize that certain browsers work better than others. So I've learnt something useful today that's unusual on Facebook.😁

The browser doesn't matter if you dare go on holiday outside Thailand. I've been here 20+ years with a 'Retirement' Visa and multi-re-entry permit but you cannot do your 90 day reporting on line; it means another journey to Immigration; another small forest of waste paper; yet EVERY detail of your history is on the computer.

My first ever online 90 day report I ever did was believe it or not in November 2014 having a work permit and non-b visa.

It was a ball ache back then to get it working. However, In 10 years I only had to go to report in person once (including throughout Covid) because they were upgrading the system at that time.

I understand the guys question about browser because it used to only work on internet explorer for me and not chrome for example. But those days are long gone.

This is not a stupid question.

Different browsers have different security and fraud detection mechanisms which interfere with different sites. There are plenty of poorly written websites that clash with domain redirection detectors, pop-up filters, third party and/or self-hosted certificate detection... And some browers fail silently on these, others give a warning, others a pop-up. And it can be unpredictable.

Most websites get tested against Chrome, so its usually the best one to try... If it fails, look at the logs to see if its blocking something.

It's not a dumb question at all. Last year there was maintenance update for 90 day reporting. The system was down for 3 days. When I called immigration they recognized the problem and said many browsers were locked out for security reason and they were working on it. So sometimes the browser does matter.

Matthew Plymale was the issue limited to one browser or was there an issue across all browsers during that specific outage?

it was limited. I do not remember which browser o finally got it to work after days. Luckily there is 7 days grace period.

I use Chrome for sites like airlines and immigration. Some sites are not compatible with Safari especially it seems. I'm sure most of these commenters have no clue about what browser they even use. Just what the default browser for Windows, Edge or maybe Chrome because they have heard of Google. I have 5 browsers to choose from.

I'm not sure what your comment has to do with the OP's straight forward question:

"What's best browser to use to do 90 day on line?"
Bernard **************
Bernard **************
Jim McGowan how are your comments helping with a question about a single website?

The 90 day reporting website in question is used by millions of people to fill out a form that ask for minimum information.

The browser used for the 90 day reporting has no impact on providing the information to Thai Immigration.

Stephen Warner I used the Chrome browser. It took a few minutes and I received the confirmation email.

There was no issue, one and done so I do not have knowledge of how other browsers could cause issues.

How many people use multiple browsers to submit the 90 day check in?

If 90 day check in works once, most people are not making the effort to test the experience on a different browser.
