TLDR : Answer Summary
Traveling to the Poipet border can be tricky. Users recommend against attempting it alone due to the risk of being denied entry, which could lead to being stuck in Cambodia. Instead, it's advisable to use a border bounce agency for assistance. Alternatives include flying directly to Siem Reap from Bangkok to avoid immigration issues or taking a train to Aranyaphrathet and then a taxi to the border. Overall, careful planning and the use of reputable services are emphasized for a smoother experience.

Bus to Siem Reap from Bangkok or Pattaya. They'll have another bus for you on the other side of the border.

Get an evisa (Cambodia) take the train to Aranyaphrathet. Get a Moto or taxi to the border. Say no lots. Or keep saying (random country no English) walk straight to the check point. Cross the border walk into Popipet grab a drink and continue your journey. It's pretty simple. Fly back from Siem Reap to avoid the Thai enforcer bull sH|t simple

it's cool man. Just avoid everyone no English no English . Only speak at the check point. Look like you know what your doing even if you don't have a clue. Use the evisa if you need a business visa I would honestly fly to Siem Reap . That border is annoying as f**k. It's not the 5 or 10 bucks they scam it's the time they steal from you. But it's character building lol

I live 20km from the border at Aranyaphrathet but I always go to Bangkok and fly to Cambodia and back rather than have the hassle and uncertainty of the border immigration officers @ Poipet

The best way is not at all. Do not go to Poipet. They love to deny entry to people there and then you'll be stuck in Cambodia.

Do yourself a favor and don't try to save a couple of bucks by doing a border bounce by yourself. Use a border bounce agency that will drive you to the border, ensure you get out and back in without any issues, and drive you back in the same day.

It could end up costing you a lot more if you're denied entry after trying to do it yourself.

I will stay with a friend for a week 2hrs from Poipet for a volunteer work thats why it has to be one way.

Maybe a company can do one or two ways on different dates.
