We are travelling to the US for March, April, & into mid May......My annual visa re-up date is due on May the 9th......I know there's no wiggle room after May 9th.....
My question is - can I go in next month (March vrs May) prior to departure and get my visa renewed ahead of time so not to have to lose 10+ days of holiday.....
We're restricted by the school break time as to when we can travel...
This is for a retirement visa extension....
Thanks....

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is asking if they can renew their retirement visa extension in March, ahead of its May 9 expiration date, to avoid losing vacation time during a planned trip to the US. Comments suggest that some immigration offices may allow applications to be filed up to 45 days before expiration, but it's important to clarify your need to renew rather than focusing on the exact expiration date.

You can walk in Immigration, explain your travel plans and ask if they want to co-operate. But please not tell about re-up date of Visa, renew visa and visa extension, it's hard to understand. Just ask you like to apply for a new Extension of Stay based on retirement, you like to do early because you have travel plans.
Most Immigration office allow a new Extension to be filed up to 45 days before the Extension Expiry. Some only allow 3 30 days. If you are needing more than 45 days early - doubt you will get it
