TLDR : Answer Summary
Several users confirmed that traveling from Hua Hin to Bangkok and back does not currently require a PCR test, with reports of no checkpoints and checks during their journeys. Experiences shared indicate that despite government announcements, the reality is more relaxed regarding travel restrictions. Participants in the conversation also touched on the effectiveness of lockdowns in the context of travel and public health.

The only sort of lockdown that would work is to lockdown hard, no one goes anywhere at all, not even for Life or death situations until there are no more cases. But that's not going to happen.

So far no restrictions driving around Bangkok that I have seen.

Peter van Splunder: The point is, if people ride in the bus or subway together, it really doesn't make any difference if they also walk the streets late at night, stroll in a park or go to a pub. If they are not "working," it is because people can see that this kind of approach is absurd.

"Lockdowns" don't work because they are only partial (most business, industry and transit continues) and because they fail to address epidemic realities.
