Hello all 🙂 Saw a post about stamped bank statements . Never heard of it before so assuming that only applies outside of the US?
Answer summary
Stamped bank statements, often required for visa applications, are used in various regions, including Thailand and some parts of Asia. While some users indicated that similar documentation is not common with online banks in the U.S. or the UK, it is a standard procedure in Thailand. Expats can obtain these stamped statements by requesting them at their local bank, which typically knows the requirements for visa applications. The need for a stamped statement can vary based on whether the bank statement is for a regular submission or required again later to verify funds.

Not really, i had to do it in USA for my DTV, its normal......depend if you are submitting monthly statement or just print out of your bank account. monthly statement do not need stamp but if they request you to submit again the bank statement with stamp then they are just making sure you still have money in your account.......
In Sweden, getting a bank to give you a piece of paper with a stamp on it would probably require 18 emails explaining how I built a time machine to visit from 1998.
In Asia company "Chop" has to be on many documents. I worked at Japanese company in Bangkok and global CFO was based there. The company Chop (Seal) was kept in the safe.
