Helloo. My bank is in Spain and my bank statements are only in Spanish, but I need them in English for my DTV visa application. Can they be officially translated, or is there another way to get them accepted? 🄲

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the necessity of having their Spanish bank statements translated into English for a Thai DTV visa application. Community responses suggested that it might not be necessary, as some embassies accept documents in Spanish, and users shared experiences of successfully using translated documents. Recommendations included requesting an English version from the bank or using Google Translate to translate the documents themselves.

I don't understand why a bank statement needs to be translated. It's all about the numbers. Even the Chinese understand that.

I uploaded that document to google translate and presented both the original and the translated version by google and it worked. You don’t need to pay for that, no worries.

Alejandra Roto so you inserted the PDF to google translate? Google translate translates PDF’s too in the same format?

Also… I really don’t understand what needs to be in English as the extracts only show your name and the bank movements… I’m so confused:/

Thank you so much for the information! šŸ™šŸ¼

Which embassy are you applying through? If it’s Madrid, documents in Spanish are accepted. Either way, you can request a bank statement in English from your bank—just explain the purpose, and they’ll issue one for you.

Participante anónimo then, as stated, ask your bank for a certificate in english. Phone or email your branch and explain what and why you need it.
