I’ve had a Kasikorn bank account for 14 years now.
Unfortunately I had lost my latest bank book and also just changed phone and had to change the phone number on my account to get the app working again.
I try to do this in Roi Et but they said had to be where the bank was originally opened so that was phuke.
Went to phuket into the bank and explained what I needed.
Had to show a photo of my old passport that the bank was opened with and they took my new passport and updated it into the system. They printed me a new book added my new phone number and setup face resignation for me all without asking which visa I was on.
I’m on a DTV so was a we bit worried they might bring it up but they didn’t.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post shares a positive experience of updating a Kasikorn Bank account after losing the bank book and changing the phone number. The user successfully updated their information in Phuket without any inquiries about their visa status, specifically while holding a DTV visa. The conversation highlights various experiences from other users, including concerns about visa checks at banks and the importance of maintaining updated records.
It would have saved u the trouble of visiting phuket if u updated your particulars whenever there's a change(besides visa).....recently get myself a new bank book (pages full) at bkk bank different branch from original
Yes many have not had a problem doing this, you are just updated records in their system, change of mobile, facial recognition etc all normal proof of ID etc.
They never asked me about my Visa. They have only really been targeting suspicious transactional activity mule accounts etc, also if you are not in the obvious areas of criminal activity ie. Pattaya, Phuket etc that helps.
Thank you for your report! Today we learned: keep your laminated DTV in the safe of your pool villa at all times, and never show it to the bank. Else, they will catch you next time.
