Kasikorn (bkk branch) opened in 2023 did face scan while opening acct no updating and no problem

I updated in Bangkok with no issues.

Updated no problem, however my branch is in a smaller town. Those who opened in tourist spots of Pattaya and especially Phuket face scrutiny and potential closures if no work permit at hand
