What has been the experience of those who applied for the DTV visa in Manila or nearby regions just before the new rules took effect on August 31st?
Did anyone else apply in Manila or a neighboring country for DTV on the 29th before the new rules took effect…?

Update: Our applications in Manila changed to pending approval (we applied the 28th aug and we gave them the request documents 2nd sep). Does anyone know how much time an application usually stay in the status “pending approval” in Manila?

I did not. But from the posts I read the processing time looks fairly quick in Manila, so I’m sure I’ll have an update soon my application status is under “reviewing documents” status right now. Someone else who applied through Manila on the 29th said that today they requested further documents from them. So it does seem like if you applied before the 31st you are grandfathered inSeb *********
