I expect to be submitting my paperwork to the local embassy for a tourist visa in the next couple of days. With the submission, they also want an itinerary, including flight date flight number, etc. my question is if my itinerary changes from when I receive a visa to my actual departure date and I end up departing either a week earlier or week later how is that handled? any positive feedback would be greatly appreciated

the e-visa application is asking for you INTENDED dates of flight and departure and the relevant flight numbers. Just enter this infirmation and pray the Thai embassy will not ask you for already booked flights

They are not going to check the flight number date and time when you fly they just want to know you’re going to leave within the allotted time

Tourist visa is 60 days permitted stay once you enter. The flight info is usually anticipated dates. So once visa issues you have 90 days to enter.

James Shirley Your 60 days start the day you enter Thailand. The visa is valid to use for 90 days from it's issue date. There's no problem changing your itinerary once the visa is issued.

what's ridiculous? 90 days to plan on travelling and get the visa is more than enough. And 60 days is plenty for a tourist, especially since you can get a 30 day extension.

James Shirley Yes, but a tourist visa is 60 days. So you have 90 days to enter, after which you get stamped for 60 days. But you can extend 30 more days at immigration.
