Why is the Thai consulate in HCMC requesting more documents for my visa application?

Question

Applied in HCMC, they now ask me for complementary documents.

I already sent all of them, is it just for them to get more time to proceed the application ? Or should I assume they is something bad about my current documents ?

For example for financial evidence I already sent my 6 month bank statements + 6 month invoice + highlighted the income in the bank statements. Added a certificate of the bank dating of May 10, certifying I have more than 50k€ on my personal account + added a screenshot of XE app showing the conversion in baht. What could I do more ?

It is not unusual to be asked again for docs already submitted. Just submit what is asked for so you can get approved asap.

Looks worrying. Thai agents assure me for a soft power dtv I only need to show 3 months' statements of +500k (Thai or overseas bank), and no proof of income necessary. Why are UK immigration being so difficult?

I applied on Monday had similar requests on Wednesday. First reaction shock, then decide to collect everything they asked me to provide. They want to make sure your money is your money and it is legit.... Get the files together they ask you to provide after all you want the Visa. I did it and had my approval the next day so all in all it took me 4 days.

Holy moly. Seems like HCMC is tuning into a no go for DTV applications. Half of them they asking is made up and not even required by the underlying legal texts of the DTV. Pain in the behind. Payslips?
