What documents should I submit when asked for further proof of finances and employment for my visa application in Thailand?

Hi everyone,

I just got a request to submit further documents.

1. I submitted sponsorship letter from employer and bank certificate showing only balance. (I have spendings in EUR, USD and local currency, so bank statements will be in 3 currencies separately if I submit like that). I can also submit only salaries for whatever period, it’s not even specified. I transferred 500000 from savings account to show before applying (Jan 14). Please advice what’s the best approach?

2. I submitted employment certificate and organization registration papers both in English, not sure what to do here.

Any ideas please?

Thanks a lot!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on how to respond to a request for additional documents for a visa application in Thailand. They have submitted a sponsorship letter and a bank certificate showing only the balance. They are uncertain about whether to provide multiple bank statements in different currencies or just salaries. Additionally, they provided an employment certificate and organization registration papers but are unsure if further action is needed. Comments from other users suggest resubmitting the documents with a covering letter, providing bank statements reflecting money in and out, and ensuring work documents declare if the user is a remote worker.

For me in Canada, they wanted the bank statement with the money in 1 account only, not several accounts. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have one account, just spendings in 3 currencies and this can’t be “merged” into one statement. But I guess I’ll go with the one I have income in, with less transactions.

I also think they want a bank statement, showing money in and out, not a certificate

That’s why Opening balances never show much. I can also attach only monthly salary statement. I just don’t know whats the best :)

Anonymous participant I showed my savings account statement with much more than required and then my checking account with my salary incoming and spending

Yes that is something that my bank can issue in 3 currencies separately, spendings depend on where I am, so there is no “master” statement. I can explain that in the cover letter. Also that I have savings account separately (I can also provide this). and transferring/converting money as needed on balance. I just don’t want that to be confusing, but I hope they can read it. Do you think it makes sense?

Anonymous participant I applied with just a 500K THB bank certificate and was asked to submit a bank statement detailing the transactions of the 500K.

It doesn't matter how much or how little your income is. That isnt a requirement. You just have to show a work portfolio or some sort or resume of your work

I am just referring to what they asked to provide. What I do is highlighted in the certificate.

Anonymous participant merge them all into one PDF. Number each unique document and then on the cover page, lay out what each numbered document is.

Does your work documents state you are a remote worker (and better if you can have your work say you can work from Thailand)?

Yes it did. That I had flexible working arrangement and could work remotely, with some trips in the Asia region. Only doubt I have is that organization registration document was bilingual, and maybe they just mean I need to submit only in English.

Send the same documents again, with a covering letter explaining that you uploaded them once before, but that they are still the same. Not much else you can do really

Yeah I am confused, if they need different type of bank statement, they should specify right? It does not say neither months. My guess is they are referring to the balance only which I submitted already 🙄or more recent one maybe…
