Cause of this fb group mentioning the in-person check-up and terrible waiting times for the digital-hippy-nomad caravan who ... don't want to fly to Vietnam where in Hanoi within 5 days, all online, it's done.

Laos is a cool country to visit though…. That’s why people apply there… plus the benefits of still having an in person interview is if your application isn’t the strongest you have an opportunity to explain your documents….

okay, cool. I'll visit some day (at 180 days) without these pressures. If you like the person-to-person imperfections and scrutiny risks and don't mind the very long wait, it's all good obviously.

Hey. Yep, you need to take all the document you applied with (printed, I beleive).

And yes, they usually ask to open the banking app on your phone.

Could you please share how many days after you have paid 10k they scheduled the interview? Or simply, when did you pay (since you already told the interview date)?

I have seen on other posts its best to take all the docs you have submitted. Make sure you can open your bank app too to show them if they ask.
