If you're on a 30-day entry stamp (BKK airport) and you're going to IT Square Laksi to request a 30-day extension, what documents do you need to bring (apart from your passport) and is there a form to complete I can get online?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To request a 30-day extension at IT Square Laksi, you need to bring several documents in addition to your passport, including a copy of your arrival stamp, a copy of your passport's data page, a TM30 form (although its necessity can vary), a TM7 form, a recent passport photo, and 1900 baht in cash. While it is advisable to fill out forms online, you may still need to complete the office's own forms onsite. It is recommended to make an appointment in advance and arrive early to avoid long wait times.

I took a guest to IM and filled in a TM30 which was filed. Then she applied for a 30 day extension. They denied it as it wasn’t in the system despite the fact that they had just given it to her and she had it in her hand.

I went to Pathum Thani immigration last week as staying near Rangsit. Took Passport copy bio page and entry stamp page . Downloaded TM7 and filled in printed and signed. Passport photo attached to TM7 . Copy of TM30 downloaded from registration website . Also took copy of GF blue book and ID as backup and 1900 baht . Walked in to immigration. Presented documents to reception and was asked to sign 3 other forms given by the reception. Handed in Passport, all documents and 1900 baht. Waited outside for abut 20 minutes. Then called in to collect passport with extension for 30 days already stamped in .

Very easy seamless operation.

Apparently can now upload documents and make payment online and make appointment to present passport and receive extension stamp .

the online system you're talking about is only for Bangkok, it requires an extra fee, and you still must attend in person and bring in all the documents you uploaded. It really makes no sense.

TM.7, STM.2 and acknowledgement of fines. Copy of your bio page and a copy of your entry stamp, a recent picture too for the TM.7, you may or may not be asked for a copy of your TM.30 so take it just incase along with 1900 baht.

I suggest either going for 8.30am and walking through

and going upstairs or booking an appointment.

My bad, I didn't see the Group of Service dropdown list. For anyone checking, see screenshot.

Thanks for all the great info. However, the link in the shared image to book an appointment doesn't work.

There's an option on the homepage, but the booking option doesn't make sense.

You're selecting the wrong service. You want second option

It would help the guy if anybody who has done that recently could mention if TM30 is currently required at IT Square in Bangkok.

@Jody ******
it's hit and miss. I took a friend a few weeks back and the person who was checking his documents didn't want the TM.30 but the lady next to her asked the person she was checking for a copy of the TM.30 and sent him away as he didn't have it.

If your friend was registered online by his hotel they would see that & not ask for a TM30 proof from him.

I did it about 4 months ago and there are two counters where people check the paperwork (they have no computers) they didnt ask me for TM30 but i am in system. But the other counter next to me asked them for it. As
@Brandon ***********
said no real answer.

If nobody can credibility report otherwise then it's best to assume there's no change.

New reports that are credible are always the best answer.

Always take as much paperwork as possible, i find best

That's what I do 555 ;)

But I do like to be as up to date as possible with changes anyway...

But i dont see what difference it makes sometimes, i did TM30 for my condo for visa extension and then went and got non O from savanakhet. When i came back in you still need TM6 form and i put condo address. Then he says to me you dont live there you live in samat sakorn. So fhen explain condo in week house on weekends 5555.

I think because my ID and yellow book is in samat sakorn.

Yeah, it's all Cold War era mentality.

As many have said: we are made to "jump through hoops" to be here...

@Jody ******
If someone says not required and they go without it and the IO on the day asks for it then you have wasted a day hence why I suggested taking it just incase

'just in case' = always the best advice in Thailand.

That's why we have to be careful to check details, such as if the person reporting stayed in private accommodation & can therefore be 100% certain no TM30 had been filed.

If in doubt it's best to make sure you have a copy, yes. Very few newby tourists would know that, of course.
Brandon ************
@Jody ******
if it's in the system then usually not required. If nothing in the system then a physical copy is required. But sometimes they ask even if it's in the system. So there's no good answer.

@Brandon ***********
I've never heard of anybody being asked for a physical copy if it's been done online (i.e. "in the system"), & it sounds dubious.

It's only in recent times that IT Square started checking if people have a TM30 registered or not, therefore it's quite possible they may have gone back to not requiring it at all. These things change. A report from somebody who has extended a visa exempt stamp & who didn't have a TM30 filed would be of value.
Wayne *********
You need passport, TM30 from where your staying (some Immigration dont ask for TM30 but take to be safe) copy of arrival page stamp copy of data page 1900baht cash. TM7 form available there to complete can be found online but again some prefer their own form completed, I downloaded for extension few years ago and Bangkok wanted theirs so sat at the IO desk and did their form. There is an office to do coping there if you can not do elsewhere.

Make an appointment. Get there 15 mins early. They will give you three easy forms to complete. When you've done that, you'll be next cab off the rank and will jump the queue of walk-ins

This is a general list of requirements as each office has their own requirements. It's usually better to get the forms at the office as they have their own forms and if anything is wrong with the ones your print they'll just make you start over. Always use blue ink when filling out forms in Thailand.
