# 30 days extension MTT, Bangkok
September 22, 2020
**General impression
**I came by appointment (13-16), 30-50 people were there, went up to the second floor, been there while my papers were checked, then back to first floor to immigration officers. The whole thing took max 50 min (!).If you have some papers not filled out yet it will take a little longer, but they will advice you everything.
**Do I need a que number?
**📷They won't let you in without an appointment. You can sign up here ([members only]) and choose from 2 time intervals. Don't delay! The flow will be unrealistic in the last few days.If you have a 30-day extension, choose Short Term Visa ... counter K. This is true for all visa holders from the list below (photo). If you have a different visa, choose a different opt.
**Where it happens and how to get there
**📷All extensions occur in counter K. [members only]
This is a large Parking lot on the territory of the impact Expocenter. I took the green line to the final Wat Phra Sri Mahathat and then a cab (15-20 min drive). 40 baht + 91 baht in total.
**List of documents
**All forms will be given to you, and if you have nothing, they will send you to the next building to take a photo, scan docs and so on. The list is standard, and put your signature on each scan:
1) copy page with visa and last stamp 2) copy 1st page of the passport 3) copy TM6 arrival/departure card (arrival card, I had it in the same place as the visa) 4) Letter from your Embassy 5) 4x6 photo 6) 1900 baht
Forms TM. 7 and STM.2, as I wrote above, you will be given.
**What date do they put the stamp
I came on September 21 and was stamped until October 19. I checked with the officer – you can show up in between 19-21 with no overstay penalty**!
**
If you are not from Bangkok
**Write the address where you are staying in Bangkok. Maybe it's a hostel, or maybe something else. If you write the address of another region (like me Surat Thani) they won't give it here. Although there is a case: a friend also wrote to Surat Thani and they issued it, apparently they did not notice.
**If your last stamp is currently Under Consideration
**First you need to close it in the same place where you put it. The exception is only if it is the same immigration division (1,2,3 etc), but I couldn't tell you the number of yours in BKK it's divison 1, subdiv - 2.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The process to extend a 30-day visa at the MTT (Multi-Tasking Terminal) in Bangkok involves making an appointment in advance and bringing specific documents. Applicants must visit counter K and should not attempt to get in without an appointment. The typical wait time is about 50 minutes, provided all documents are ready. Key documents required include copies of visa pages, passport, arrival/departure card, a photo, and a fee of 1900 baht. It’s recommended to ensure that your home address aligns with the immigration office jurisdiction to avoid complications.
