Hi guys, what are the currently needed documents needed for Covid extension? I cannot find any information or Tweets, nothing. Some old articles mentioned something about letter from embassy - is it still a requirement and if so, do I have to get it in person?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Currently, the documents needed for a Covid extension in Thailand do not require an embassy letter. The required documentation includes a passport data page, entry stamp/visa, TM6 departure card, proof of accommodation, a passport-sized photo, and a filled TM7 application form which can be obtained at the immigration office. The process has been reported to be straightforward and can be completed quickly at local immigration offices.

Just FYI - so I went to immigration office and they straight away said it's not required. Also the lady filled all the forms for me for 300 baht and told me to come back 3 days before current 30 day extension expires. It took her 10 minutes total and we were done.

the embassy letter hasn't been required for some time now

with over 70 offices in the country and you not saying what stamp you're here on or where you're going to get the covid extension it's tough to pin down the exact documentation

copies of;

Passport data page

entry stamp/visa

TM6 departure card

possibly proof of where you're staying

passport sized photo

Filled out TM7 application form (they'll give you one there)
