Hello!

What do I need for the 60 days extension? What papers, documents, passport?

In Koh Samui, this is the place where I should go, right?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a 60-day extension in Koh Samui, you will typically need: a signed copy of your passport data page, a passport photo, proof of filing a TM30, a signed copy of your departure card (TM6), a signed copy of your latest entry stamp, and any previous Covid extension stamps (if applicable). It’s recommended to fill out the TM7 application form and the STM2 acknowledgment form. You will also need to pay a fee of 1,900 baht. Forms can be found at the local immigration office, which also usually has services for copying documents. Koh Samui is noted for its efficiency in processing these extensions.

Extended there myself recently. You will need copies of passport photo page, last entry stamp, tm6, visa and all previous extensions and a picture. The guy at the copyshop outside of immigration knows and you can just give him your passport. Don't bring in your own forms like someone suggested. I did this but it wasn't exactly like the 1 they had so they made me fill out theirs instead. You won't need any paper copy of a tm30 application either. Just make sure where you are staying has registered you with immigration before you go. Samui is the easiest place in the country to get covid extensions. No under consideration period, 1900 baht. In and out in an hour.

You’ll need this stuff. Not all offices have the same requirements so it may be slightly different depending on which of the 70+ offices you use.

A copy of your passport data page (signed),

A passport photo,

Proof of filing a TM30,

A copy of your departure card (TM6) (signed)

A copy of your latest entry stamp (signed)

A copy of any previous Covid extension stamps (signed) (Phuket requires this other offices may not)

In Phuket they require the copies to be in portrait not landscape. This means the top of your passport aligns along the shorter side of the A4. Except for the Data Page where most passports are “sideways”

(Other offices may not be as pedantic)

A filled out TM7 (application form for extensions) - the form doesn’t have a space for your email or phone number but just write it on the back (page 2).

A filled out STM2 (acknowledgement that you understand the rules for overstaying)

A filled out “I don’t want to leave because of Covid form” - I have no idea if it has an official name or number.

And 1,900 baht.

The forms are available at your local office. Most have places on site or nearby that can do the copies and photos.

Many offices will give you a “under consideration” stamp requiring you to return somewhere from 5-14 days later where they will stamp for the remaining 60 days. If they do you MUST use the same office to “close out” that stamp. For example you cannot get a “under consideration” stamp from Bangkok and close that out in Chiang Mai 15 days later.

thank you! 🙂 I’m going to the Samui immigration office. I searched for the form online but didn’t find.

What if I just take the original ones, can they do a copy?

all the forms will be on site. I don’t know the Samui office but I’d bet there’s a photocopy and photo place either on-site or just nearby.

do

I need to make an appointment or just walk in?

because it’s your first application they will probably date the 60 day stamp from the day you apply and won’t add it on to your existing stamp.

thees a coy shop just outside immigration office (on the right as you approach it) the guy in there is very helpful and wil sort you out.

because you are “changing the reason” for an extension (from tourist/exempt) to a “unable to travel due to Covid” extension. If you were able to do another later on you aren’t changing the reason so they’d add it on.

just walk in. You must apply before the 27th September.
