I just thought I would let others know who might be interested. I extended my Tourist Visa (single entry) at Chaeng Wathana immigration today and was not asked to provide a TM.30, I gave them a signed copy of my biometric page of my passport, signed copy of my entry stamp from my passport, passport, signed copy of my tourist visa, passport size photo and the form you have to fill out when you arrive (I can’t remember the name of this)
I was in and out in 30mins 1,900 BAHT. I am a British Citizen with a UK Passport just to confirm. It seems to be a grey area in regards to providing a TM.30 so thought I would share my experience.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their experience extending a single-entry Tourist Visa at Chaeng Wathana immigration in Thailand. They noted that they were not asked for a TM.30 but had to submit a signed copy of their biometric passport page, entry stamp, tourist visa, a passport-sized photo, and the TM7 form (the arrival departure card). The process took 30 minutes and cost 1,900 THB. Commenters contributed additional insights about the necessity of a TM.30 and requirements for showing onward travel when applying for a visa.
did you have to show an onward flight on your visa application for your SETV ? i want to do the same as you but i dont know my departure date, i want to stay in thailand for 90 days before exiting
no mate I didn’t have to show onwards travel when i extended my visa, but I already had a onwards flight booked originally when I entered Thailand. But just to confirm No onwards flights/travel was required. 👍
I have done plenty of 30 day extensions at Phuket. Previously at the Patong office, when they still did it and then also at Phuket Town. Always been asked. I didn’t imagine it.
I’m not suggesting you imagined it. I’m just telling you that a filed TM30 is not a requirement for a 30 day extension in any of the 3 immigration offices in Phuket.
Generally very easy. Depends on what office you use as to how long you may have to wait. It’s peak season now so somewhere like CW, Phuket, Chiang Mai could be around an hour.
Not sure you’ve got your facts correct. A 90 day Non O can only be extended for one year providing you have the relevant funds in place. A 60 day extension would only be possible for someone married to a Thai or have half Thai children.
The form name is TM7. Most reports from CW suggest you don’t need a TM30. However every now and again we see one that says they were asked for it. No rhyme or reason.
