TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the essential documents required for applying for an e-visa for a son under a DTV (Workcation) visa, emphasizing the importance of a sponsorship letter, financial proof, and signed copies of documents. Several commenters share their experiences and provide guidance on how to prepare the necessary documents, such as including personal details, financial statements, and signed letters. The conversation highlights the need to follow the application instructions carefully.
I had Gemini write a letter that says I will cover all expenses related to his stay. I added my bank statements from the last 3 months with 16k each month with my name on the account. I also included a copy of my passport. I combined all those into a single PDF and he was approved the next day. They asked for additional information on mine about travel details, but if they don't ask i wouldn't add it. Only include what they ask for.
I used chatgpt to help me write a sponsor letter when i did mine. Include your name, passport number, dtv visa number, your son's name, his passport number, that he is your biological son and state that you will be financially responsible for his food, accomodation and spending whilst in Thailand. Upload in a pdf file along with a copy of your passport (sign the copy with a pen).
In my experience, embassies don't usually accept digital signatures, so I've always printed everything, sign with blue ink and scan it before submitting
Anonymous participant i didn't. It's just a sponsor letter guaranteeing you're going to support your children financially, as kids don't have a bank account in their own name yet
Try to upload Cover letter, typed and signed by a family member who sponsors the trip, and whose name on the above bank statement along with a signed photocopy of passport of the sponsor (that's you)
