Instead, they aim to issue a decision as quickly as possible once a complete and well-organized application is received. Including any additional documents that may support your case can also help facilitate a faster approval.*

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post shares a detailed account of a DTV visa application process for working remotely from Hanoi, Vietnam, including the types of documents required, timeline, and processing details. The author submitted necessary documentation such as their employment contract, recommendation letter, and bank statement, and received visa approval within two business days. Comments from other users include congratulations and practical advice regarding visa proof upon arrival in Thailand, and a question about applying from a different location in Vietnam.
This might be a stupid question, but I thought everything is done online now, so do you have to be in Hanoi? I'm based in Hoi An and want to apply, but not sure how to get started.
Ben Nam Frankly speaking, I was in the another city since nothing much to do in Hanoi, you just need to submit the arrival stamp from Noi Bai Airport if you are planning to choose Embassy in Hanoi. Basically, you can do it.
However, I recommend you to be ready to go to Hanoi for in case of asking location proof but I think they won’t ask you as long as you submit all necessary documents.
You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.
Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.
