TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about the current payment options for entering Myanmar from Mai Sai, wondering if $10 USD is still accepted or if only 500 baht is currently needed. The comments provide differing opinions, with one person suggesting that a $50 visa may be required, while another confirms that they successfully paid $10 during their recent border runs.

I did two runs earlier this year and paid $10 each time, no problem.

I didn’t think you could enter Myanmar without a $50 visa. Might be wrong though.

Hi Michael, I have a question and wondering if you know the answer. My year visa with work permit is finishing. I want to leave and reenter as tourist. Do you know if I could reenter by land ( like in ranong for example) or if I need to fly in?

I did the border run a week ago. I paid 500 baht. Don't know if they accept dollars. And yeah they will keep your passport. Everything was smooth.

You can stay within Tachilek province. They have your passport and you get some sort of receipt to get your passport back later.

Thomas Robert Peter Ashworth I haven't done it, only across the bridge and back. But from what I read if you want to go further than the city you'll need to pay for a bigger visa. I guess maybe there's other check points or possibly it's a online thing but Im really not sure, just what I've read and heard. I've been there 3 times for a land crossing tho and its definitely not $50 to enter
