Hello everyone

I came to Thailand April 28th.

I want to extend my stay and was told I should try extending May 20th.

I have USA passport

What do I need to bring?

I was also told TM30 from another Facebook group but my host said he never does TM30

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual seeks guidance on how to extend their stay in Thailand with a USA passport. They have been advised to extend on May 20th but face uncertainty regarding the TM30 form, as their host usually does not submit it. Comments from others suggest the necessity of the TM30 for acquiring a 30-day extension and recommend either finding a new residence or asking their landlord to file the TM30.

Book one night in a hotel, ask them for the TM30 then go to the Immigration Office

You need the appropriate IMM office for your location , your tm30 will determine your location.

Suggest you find a new residence as you will need a TM30 to get your 30 day extension.

Or ask Thai immigration if you can self file the TM30 as your landlord refuses.

You have asked 3 times if you can use your friend’s address. Is your friend your host? If you are not staying with your friend, you cannot use their address.

, If you go to the immigration office where that TM30 address belongs. Be aware, if that address is not a commercial accommodation such as a hotel or registered guesthouse, some immigration offices require you to provide the ID, house book copy, etc, of the house owner/landlord.

, You can stay wherever you want. You need to provide the necessary documents from the accommodation you are staying at if you are asked.

its supposed to be where your are living per Thai law.

And its the owners responsibility to file the TM 30 with Thai Immigration within 24 hours of your taking residence.
