Following the visa-exempt time cut announcement, I am now considering applying for a Non-O retirement visa. I am currently in Thailand on a 60-day stamp and do not want to travel back to my home country to apply. Google says it is okay to apply from neighboring countries even as a tourist, whereas the official website states it must be done from your home country.
Has anyone had any luck obtaining an initial Non-O visa while in Laos, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, etc. as a tourist? Please share your experience.
