Got my DTV with my Myanmar passport at Phnom Penh yesterday! Came here on 15th and submitted an application immediately. I only showed 1 month of statement with the 500k deposited two days before. Got it in four days with no additional documents needed.

While we submitted practically the same things, my partner hasn’t received her visa yet. Her status changed from ‘pending approval’ to ‘pending document check’ last night. Is it a usual occurrence? I’m hoping she gets an update tomorrow so we can make it back to Bangkok as planned.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user successfully obtained their DTV visa in Cambodia with minimal financial documentation, while their partner's application is currently in a delayed status. They inquire about the typical processes involved when an application status changes from 'pending approval' to 'pending document check' and express hope for a quick update. Several commenters discuss payment methods, the adequacy of bank statements, and specific embassy requirements for DTV applications.

May I ask you about your passport type please? Do you think DTV with PJ would be possible ?

it’s possible. Foreign embassies don’t make a lot of fuss about passport types

Could I please ask if you paid the visa charges in USD cash, or do they also accept payment in Thai Baht?

Is it enough to have the money in the back only two days before applying? 🤔

depends on the embassy. I heard other places require the 500k to be in the bank for 3+ months.

About the address , an hotel address is enough in Cambodia? I saw that in Malaysia they ask for a permanent residency or a visa not less than 1 year, quite confusing. 🙄
