Hi. I'm an American woman in Chiang Mai, needing to convert my Non-Immigrant O for purpose of retirement to actual Retirement visa in October. I just had a few questions for this group?
*I know I need 800K in bank for two months (It'll be 2 months this week). --- Can I print out a bank statement from my app or do I need to go to the bank for proof?
*What do I need to bring with besides these items? 4 passport photos, Blue Pen, TM 30, Lease Agreement?
*Should I fill out an application before going? If so, does anyone haves a link to the proper application?
*Am I missing something? Missing any details on this process?
*My current visa expires on Oct 16th, Is going around 7th or 8th safe?
Thanks in advance!
Made it this far with the help of this group!

TLDR : Answer Summary
An American woman in Chiang Mai seeks advice on converting her Non-Immigrant O visa for retirement into a Retirement visa. She asks if a bank statement can be printed from an app, what documents she needs to bring, whether to fill out an application beforehand, and if applying close to her visa expiration date is safe. Responses emphasize that she is applying for a yearly extension rather than converting the visa, detailing the necessary bank documentation, including a standard bank letter and updated bank book, and that requirements may differ by immigration office.

First off, you're not converting anything 😮 You have a 90 day Non-O visa right now (y) What you'll be doing is applying for what's called a "yearly extension of stay" from it for 1900baht.
In Chiang Mai you can apply for an extension when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp and you meet the proof of funds requirements.
You need to get a "standard bank letter" and have the bank print out a 3 month detail transaction report as well as update your bank book the day you apply for the yearly extension.
This is a GENERAL list of things that can be required, it is not immigration office specific so I would post on a C/M specific group OR slog on over to the main immigration office by the airport and get the requirements.
the letter you can get it a day before but for the bank book it has to be updated the same day as the day you submit your documents at the embassy. Deposit like thb100 so the bank can print out the latest transaction on the bank book or do all in a day.
this is what the "standard bank letter" looks like it can be up to 7 days old BUT as I said you need to update your bank book the date you apply for the extension to show the balance that day
