Can you renew the Non O-A visa inside Thailand? *I am at the end of my 2nd year of my original O-A visa from the US.

If so, what are the requirements? Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
You cannot directly renew a Non O-A visa in Thailand; however, you can apply for a one-year extension of stay based on being over 50. The requirements for this extension are similar to those for a Non-O extension, with the addition of health insurance as mandated by the original O-A visa guidelines. It is advisable to check with your local immigration office for the most current requirements.

Nope but you can apply for a 1 year extention of stay if you meet the requirements

There's no such thing as renewing a visa.

You can apply for an extension based on being over 50. The requirements are exactly the same as a non-O extension except you are also required to have the insurance that the original OA visa requires.

This is a general guideline but you would want to get the most current list of requirements from your immigration office.

Thanks. But, do I have to leave the country to cancel my old one?

Thanks! That is great info. I didn't know that.

no. Only if you want to start the process over and get off of the OA insurance requirement. Otherwise you can continue to apply for extensions every year as long as you meet the requirements and never have to leave Thailand.
