Do you need to show three months of bank statements for a Non-O visa based on retirement, or can the money be transferred in during that period?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement for a three-month bank statement when applying for a Non-O visa based on retirement may vary by embassy. Some individuals suggest that recent deposits are acceptable as proof, as long as liquid cash is available. However, others believe that the current amount must be maintained for the entire three-month period. It is also noted that health insurance is not required for the Non-O visa, unlike the OA visa.

800 3 months though i did 5 months or 8. In country is 3 months. I did marriage but had the $. Deposited 2 months before travel. Checked in at immigration & given 3 months for my non-O. Didn’t touch my Visa account (I have 4 bank accounts).

Its all simple and straightforward. Will do Retirement next time of which all will be the same except 800 instead of 400.

If they ask for a 3 month statement they will expect the required amount to be maintained for the 3 months or they would just ask for a statement with the current balance

They just want to see that you have liquid cash available. It can be recent deposits.

Same issue. Waiting for the sale of my house to go through and want to depart shortly after that so don't want to wait 3 month re bank statement etc. Might just have to arrive on visa except and sort out once there. Nuisance

you need an O visa from your Thai embassy first. Without it you can't open a bank account. Without a bank account you can't get your O visa
