Can I use my investment portfolio balance instead of bank transaction statements for a Non-immigrant Type O visa?

Hi All, I'm currently in my home country and applied online for a Non-immigrant Type O.

Today I've got a request for more documents: *Please upload the bank transaction money in CURRENT ACCOUNT for LAST THREE MONTHS showing your name and the balance, the amount income monthly not less than 65,000 THB or total balance 800,000 *THB*.*

1) Can I provide the entire balance of my portfolio and not the transactions? Because that amount of money is in the investment portfolio in the bank.

*2) (e.g., bank statements for the last three months, sponsor letter) -*"Sponsor letter" - does that refer to the same bank guarantee letter they use to ask?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the conditions set by Thai authorities for providing bank statements when applying for a Non-Immigrant Type O visa. Applicants are required to show a monthly income of at least 65,000 THB or a total balance of 800,000 THB. There are questions about whether investment account balances can be used instead of transaction records, the necessity for the funds to be in current accounts rather than investment accounts, and the implications of using bank statements from the applicant's home country.

What is your country ?

I thought if you were applying for a Non O in your own country you would show your bank account balance from that country, the if you are intending get a 12 month extension you will put the money in your Thai account when you get to Thailand, any moderators can please confirm this. TIA

, many embassies/consulates don't specify the country where your bank is located. Usually, you can use a bank account in any country as long as you can provide the necessary documents at that embassy.

In case they won't accept it, can I still enter the country with a visa exempt?

@Shai *******
that would depend on what passport you hold

It depends what you mean by investment account. If it's a high interest account with instant access it will be OK, if its a term deposit it won't

Yes, it has instant access. It's not a kind of sealed savings program.

This is just a guess, but doesn't it need to be a current account balance and not in investment accounts? The idea is you have this money to draw upon to support yourself (however you actually do it in reality)

For me, they accepted 3 months statements from each of my accounts, showing a total monthly income of at least ฿65,000. The income did not have to be all in a single account.

800k baht as a final balance on your current bank account statement. You upload the pdf file showing all transactions OR you upload an amalgamated pdf file of 3 months bank statements from the same bank account showing a minimum income for every month of no less than
*****
baht .Investments do not count.

Even though those investments are within the same bank account? It's like a deposit savings.
