What are the requirements for a New Zealand citizen living abroad to apply for DTV considering the proof of permanent residency rule?

I am a NZ passport holder but living out of NZ for many years. I recently left Singapore and am now in Indonesia temporarily. I want to apply for DTV, but the new proof of permanent residency rule is tricky as I haven't lived in NZ for so long. As I understand it, I need to fly to NZ to apply there (even though its an eform...) but with current rule of proof of permanent residence it seems impossible to provide that unless you are living in NZ? 

Also, if anyone has applied through Wellington, do they have any specifics regarding their documents? Like official bank statements? Or ok to download PDFs from your bank.

If you are in Indonesia as a long term resident, you might want to establish your footage for the application from there though it might take up to 6-8 months before you can apply.

On NZ passport need to apply in Wellington and ideally have an address while in NZ for the process and usual criteria applies, bank reqs etc.

I am same, Haven't been to NZ in 25 years, no bank account, ID, nothing... Luckily I already have my DTV but future looks kinda grim especially going back to NZ to setup that stuff when my olds pass away.
