What are the requirements for a DTV Visa application in Vietnam for a US citizen and a Russian spouse?

Hello, I am US citizen applying for DTV workcation from Ho Chi Minh City consulate with my Russian wife as dependent. We're hoping to get this done this month before early April.

Financial proof wise I have an official investment brokerage proof-of-funds letter showing my assets well past the threshold required for this visa (for the both of us), plus a US bank statement from March showing my monthly income in March. Has anyone been approved at HCM using a brokerage/investment letter rather than a traditional bank statement (or were in a similar situation)? How many months of statements did they want and how recent? I earn enough to qualify for both of us but the cash comes to my account every few months, so I am wondering how particular they are about proof of funds.

I'm a freelancer with with no employment contract. What did your portfolio look like. Did a simple 1-2 page document listing clients, services marketing profiles and income work, or did they want more? Did they ask for a cover letter too?

For my wife, our Russian marriage certificate has an apostille and notarized English translation. Will this be accepted? And can my wife submit her dependent application simultaneously with mine online, or does she have to wait until my visa is approved first?

Any recent or similar experiences please share!
Summary so far
A US citizen applying for a DTV visa from the Ho Chi Minh City consulate with a Russian spouse seeks clarity on financial proof for the application. They have a brokerage proof-of-funds letter and a recent US bank statement but question if these are sufficient, especially since their income comes in infrequently and they don't have a traditional employment contract. They also inquire about the acceptability of their apostilled Russian marriage certificate and whether their wife can submit her dependent visa application simultaneously.

IF you were applying for the DTV visa in the USA you might be successful with the financial requirements being met with your brokerage accounts.

I have not seen any Thai Embassy or Consulate in SE Asia accepting the brokerage account as proof of the 500,000 Thai baht requirement in a bank account in your name only.

The Thai Embassy and Consulate in Vietnam requires 3 months of your bank account statements... BUT only the third month needs to show the 500,000 Thai baht bank account balance.

Suggest you transfer money from your brokerage account to the bank account showing the 500,000 Thai baht account balance.

Which State in the USA is your home address State?

Re the dependent DTV visa, you can only submit the application for it AFTER you have a DTV Visa.

Proof of funds is one of only several requirements. You need to show that you have 500k baht in cash in a traditional bank account. A brokerage/investment letter isn’t what they ask for, so it won’t work. How else can you prove that you are a freelance worker? Contracts from clients? Income tax forms? You will need to prove in more formal ways than a self generated letter
