Hello ! I’m for some advice on a visa run from Koh Lipe to Langkawi Island (Malaysia) by boat and back to Koh Lipe.

I’m on a 1 year (90 day) multiple entry visa based on marriage to a Thai. Divided in to 90 days so coming back across the border is no issue.

Just wondering if anyone had done the trip recently. Any ideas, advice or tips would be great !

The Boats between Langkawi and Lipe are not running atm due to low season

Keep check on weather, it is supposedly rain season although not sure where it is.

When you hear of typhoons hitting phillipines or vietnam then Thailand could be next and if warnings are issued no boats allowed to put to sea

I have not tried this specific trip. But as long as you are not returning to Thailand on the same day, it is hard to see why this should cause any problems. Some border stations have the idea that "90 consecutive days" means that you cannot return to Thailand on a multiple Non-Immigrant visa the very same day as you are leaving Thailand.

Never heard that before, I've had that non imm O multi for years and never had a problem coming back within a few hours.
