I have a Non "O" visa multiple entry got in Vientiane 01.08.24. I obtained this being married to a thai national.
We both have a 9 years old child together (my name on birth certificate).
My thai wife now wishes to divorce and here is the question.
A few years ago here was written that this type of visa is not cancelled after divorce and can be used untill the provided date (July 2025).
Please advise if this term is still valid and I should not notify immigration about marriage cancellation and immediately do a new visa based on kid's care.
Also if someone have an experience in local divorce procedure please share it with me in private message as I have no idea how its going on...
Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A holder of a Non "O" visa, acquired through marriage to a Thai national, can retain and utilize the visa until its expiration date, even if the marriage ends in divorce. The visa remains valid until the specified date, allowing for re-entry into Thailand every 90 days without notifying immigration about the marital status change. It is recommended to maximize the visa's duration before seeking a new visa based on child custody, particularly since the user has a child with Thai citizenship.

You have a year-long, multi-entry VISA and when you got it you were married ๐
Doesn't matter if you get divorced the next day after it was issued ๐ฎ
The visa is good until the date stamped on it even if the reason you got it changed
You can exit/re-enter every 90 days and use that visa until it runs out, and as Lloyd said, if you bounce out/back just before the VISA itself expires you can get a final 90 day entry stamp,
THEN
when that final stamp runs down you could apply for the year extension based on supporting a thai child at the immigration office for 1900baht
I wouldn't do anything until I maxed out the time I could get on that visa, no need to tell immigrations anything, as you don't GO to their office for anything, you bounce out and back every 90 days on the visa you have

Correct, as you have a VISA, you can use it up until the valid until date, so if you do a border hop a day or so before it expires, you can get nearly 15 months out of it.
