Is anyone aware of recent changes to the laws for non-O visas for non-profit volunteers? Someone heard a rumor that they are being limited to 90 days?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about recent changes to laws regarding Non-O visas for non-profit volunteers, specifically a rumor about limiting stays to 90 days. Comments clarify that there have been no new rules; the duration of stay depends on the paperwork provided by the volunteer foundation, and extensions can vary between 90 days and a year.

Just so you're clear the "department of social welfare and human development" doesn't have any say in how long an extension of stay is issued for volunteering at the immigration office.

Extensions can be 90 days at a time, <- I know people who volunteer for foundations that only get that much OR they can be for a year at a time.

Totally comes down to the paperwork your foundation gives you more than any "new rule" <- which there is none..

Witty answer removed. The Question is NOT about the Non Immigrant O visa based on being a volunteer. The question is about an Extension of Stay based on being a Volunteer applied for at the Bangkok Immigration Office.

Yes, that’s much clearer. Does anyone have any recent news about changes that limit the extension of stay to 90 days rather than one year?
