TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a student visa for your son to study in Thailand, you will need to gather specific documents like the T.M.7 and T.M.2 application forms, a confirmation letter from the school, a recent photograph, and a fee of THB 1,900. Additionally, bring photocopies of relevant passport pages and the arrival card. It's essential for the school to be proactive in contacting the Immigration Office to clarify all requirements.

As most of the documents has to come from the school, I advice that the school contact the Immigration Office and ask for the requirements.

It looks like the application for Extension of Stay, TM form is wrong number and the person must show the Non Immigrant visa, also the fee is 1.900 Thb. The fee for application of a Visa is 2.000 Thb neeed TM 87 and a Visa Exempt Entry or Tourist visa to convert to a visa.

In Phuket they also wanted a stamped copy of the childs timetable. Local immigration offices may differ
