Can my friend apply for a student (Non-ED) visa in Thailand after getting a single entry visa in Laos?
Good morning, my friend just got a single entry in laos and now she wants to get a student visa, does she still needs to go back to laos to get non ed visa or is it possible to get non ed visa here in thailand? Thanks in advance for your advices.
Answer summary
The process for obtaining a Non-ED (student) visa typically requires your friend to exit Thailand and apply at a Thai embassy or consulate in her home country or another country, such as Laos. However, it is advisable for her to consult with the school or university she plans to attend, as they may provide specific guidance and assistance related to the visa application process.

Normally your friend would be required to exit the country and obtain an ED Visa outside of Thailand but as Robert has said, it makes sense to check with the particular school that she wants to study at as they will be able to give you the correct process and tell you what support they can offer in obtaining this visa

It all depends on where and what she is going to study. Ask the school/university where she is going to follow classes.
