I currently have covid and will arrive in Bangkok under test and go on the 12th April. I will have a covid recovery certificate by then and will have been recovered for more than 14 days. However still worried about testing positive on PCR in Thailand. Has anyone else successfully shown the recovery certificate successfully and not had to carry out the isolation over there? ๐ฉ

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is concerned about entering Thailand while still recovering from COVID-19 and whether their recovery certificate will be accepted without requiring isolation. The community discusses various experiences, emphasizing that acceptance of recovery certificates can vary based on individual circumstances, including testing positive upon arrival and the discretion of healthcare providers at specific hotels. It's important to ensure that the recovery certificate is issued after overcoming the virus and aligns with the guidelines stating that recovery must have occurred at least 14 days prior to travel.
Important: From April 1st, a pre-test is no longer required. However, the following test requirements remain in place. In Thailand

My question is now that you don't need a pcr test for the flight from April 1st

I've just tested negative again after 10 days of quarantine. my recovered certificate is valid from 12 april fly but 9 april arrive 10 april. Will there be bigger problems?
All I presented was a certificate of recovery, that's all the doctor wanted to see, after 7 days isolation , 2nd February I went to the doctor he cleared me, wrote out a certificate and 2 days later after doing a PCR test on the 3rd which came up negative I flew to Phuket ( 4th February) came up positive and after sighting the certificate they let me go.๐

If the PCR test is positive, a medical certificate of recovery must be presented in addition to the test result, whereby the infection must have been at least 14 days and no more than three months ago.

Itโs 14 days from infection, Iโm not sure what the 28 days means sorry.

But I read that they recognize the recovered after 14 days on the Thailand side
why is your recovered certificate valid from 12th April when youโve already isolated 10 days?

Yep I did, tested positive in the 25th January, got a certificate of recovery on the 2nd February, did a PCR test on the 3rd February came up negative, flew to Phuket on the 4th February, came up positive on the PCR test on arrival, produced the certificate of recovery and they set me free, best thing I ever did was get that certificate ๐๐
Just to add to this, I arrived at 6:30 pm Friday 4th February, PCR test at about 7:15 pm, received my positive result at 2am, Saturday 5th, provided my Certificate of recovery at 2:15am, I had to wait for a doctor to authenticate the Certificate, they gave me the good news at 11:20 am, I was of the impression that they don't want to Quarantine you, it's not good for tourism they were happy to see my Certificate, it gave them a reason to let me off, everyone was happy, I had a great holiday, ๐

Sorry for the clarity, I took this photo at 2am last week to reassure another member, I was sleeping at the time, good luck, it was the best thing I did๐
Stuart this is very reassuring to hear! Would you mind showing me your covid certificate so I know what I should be looking for when purchasing one? Thank you so much ๐

Why would anyone contract covid just before travelling abroad?
people don't catch it on purpose. We have a govt who says no need for masks and no need to stay home if sick. So infection rates are increasing. Its going to be hard to avoid it.
unfortunately I still have to work up until 1 week before I go. I donโt go for another 24 days so pretty unrealistic to not leave the house in the mean time

We are in the UK and we all tested positive 3 weeks ago. We fly back to Thailand tomorrow and have received negative PCR results.
if you're from England if you had positive NHS PCR test you get Covid recovery certs free on NHS app.

It works for some and not for others. It's at the discretion of the doctors at your hotel's partner hospital and also depends on how high your viral load still is.
