Hallo guys! I need advice, as Bulgarian citizen, received 15 days visa on arrival, but now in Chiang Mai, what are my chances for extension and for how long would it be the regular time given?

Also as Bulgarian- if I go to Cambodia, will my new visa be granted if I enter by land? Iโ€™m

Asking this as I heard, this can only be done when I arrive by air?

Many thanks in advance for your advice mates!

TLDR : Answer Summary
As a Bulgarian citizen with a 15-day Visa on Arrival in Thailand, you are not eligible for an extension of your visa. You must leave Thailand by the end of the 15 days as extensions for this specific visa are denied. If you leave to Cambodia, re-entering Thailand by land may not grant you a new Visa on Arrival; it's recommended to check with a Thai consulate or consider flying back for a new 15-day visa.

I do not think you can get a VOA by a land entry, but all you can do is try, worst they'll say is if you leave you can't get back in by that border..

Your best bet is to go to a thai consulate nearby and BUY a tourist visa for thailand OR fly out and back to get a new 15 day VOA for 2000baht

And having searched for any changes in the entry requirements for Bulgarians, I have found no changes. Sorry ๐Ÿ˜”.

You MUST leave Thailand within your current ending date STAMPED in your passport...

It's possible to ask your Thai Immigration office for a 30 day extension of stay, BUT that will be DENIED and you will be given orders for you to leave Thailand within 7 days from the day you apply for the 30 days extension.

So go to Thai Immigration on the last day of your current STAMPED ending date.

And in another reply by Moderator Tod Daniels

"Hmm, I just noticed that bulgarian's BUY a 15 day visa on arriaval to thailand when they show up for 2000baht and I know they can only extend that for 7 days on the extension denied stamp.

Now I don't know if that has any bearing on IF they show up with a 60 day tourist visa if they can get the 30 day extension or not.

Sorry. "

"Visa On Arrival for 15 days stay is NOT eligible for tourism extension. You have to leave the kingdom at the end of that 15 days."

As you have a passport from Bulgaria, you are entitled to enter Thailand VOA Visa on Arrival for 15 days STAMP.

Remember the Day you arrive into Thailand counts as DAY #1. And you will need to provide PROOF of your flight departing Thailand within the 15 days of your arrival into Thailand.
