to confirm and clarify...since I could not make a visa in Thai embassy this time...

Entering Thailand at Don Muang airport, I'm elligible to receive an exemption 30-day tourist visa (Israel passport). I understand I can get an extension of 30 days for 1900 Baht at Immigration offices anywhere.

1. Can the extension be gotten at the airport when I arrive or does it need to be close to the end of the 30 day period?

2. After the 30-day extension, if I leave and enter by land (Myanmar or Laos) and return by land, do I get 30 days on entry again ? Or 15 days? Is it dependent on my nationality?

3. Is a land border entry also extendable for 30 days?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarification on extending a 30-day tourist visa upon entering Thailand under the Visa Exemption rule for Israeli passport holders. Key points include: 1. Extensions must be done at local immigration offices, not at the airport, and can be requested 30-45 days before the end of the initial stay. 2. If the user leaves Thailand and then re-enters by land, they can receive another 30-day visa stamp, depending on their nationality and the twice-a-year limit for entries without a visa. 3. Land border entries are also eligible for a 30-day extension.

you need to go to the local immigration office where you are staying to apply extension of stay for additional 30 days. You cannot apply at airport. Most of immigration office allow you to apply extension 30 - 45days before your admitted until date so you can go immediately, but some allow you 15 days before. You don't have to (and shouldn't IMHO) wait until the last day.

You can get 30 days stamp on visa exempt entry at land order too, as long as it's within two times limit per year. And once you get stamped into the country for 30days, it's eligible to apply extension for 30days. Nothing different between visa exemption entry stamp once you enter the country by land or by air.
