What are the new visa regulations in Thailand regarding long-term stays for travelers, and does it affect the METV Visa?

The new guidelines are for people entering visa exempt, without a visa. There is no 90-day limit for anyone. Immigration are just keeping a closer eye on people who are abusing the system and trying to live in Thailand without a long-term visa.

You will be fine for 5 months, especially if you have an METV.
