TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion focused on the challenges of opening a bank account in Thailand for those on a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV). It was noted that upcoming banking regulations effective June 1 may complicate this process further, especially for those on tourist visas. Some users suggested hiring an agent to facilitate the process for fees ranging from 20,000 to 25,000 baht, but concerns about the legality of such actions were raised. The conversation also contained disputes about the credibility of advice given anonymously.

Unless you have the privilege card (elite visa) which is the same class of tourist visa as the DTV then it's no problem.

@Ja***
yes and you can only get a 2 year driving license on the elite but you get a lot of extras with it ,Free massages ,transport ect.

It depends which city you are in. You can get a 5 year license with an elite or DTV in Chiang Mai for example. Technically you are only supposed to get it with a non immigrant visa but seems that every DLT can make up their own rules.

@Ja***
I guess but they would only give my brother the two year he’s on his third in Chiang Mai

By hiding from the public, that means you did/are doing something wrong. And now you tell others that they did wrong. Wtf? Join the woke because then you can make up your own definitions and be considered right and well-informed.
